OUR STORY
It started at a kitchen table.
I grew up in a house with three kids and one mom. She raised us on her own and worked full time, and there must have been plenty of months when she had no idea how she was going to make everything add up. As kids, of course, we didn't notice any of that.
What we noticed was her. She'd come home tired and still find a way to sit down with us at the kitchen table. Some evenings it was a story she made up on the spot, other times a plain sheet of paper she turned into a game, or a drawing we argued over who got to color first. Some days we cooked together and left the kitchen in a state. We didn't have much, but I can't remember ever feeling that we were missing out.
She always believed that the time you spend with children matters more than anything you can buy them. It took me years to understand how true that is, and it's the reason Kuriva Kids exists.
Families today are every bit as busy as we were, but now the easy option is a screen, and it's always within reach. We wanted to make the other option just as easy: activities you can print in a minute, that are good for your child and that you'll genuinely enjoy doing together.
My mom still works with children today, and she's still the first person I ask for advice. She looks at what we make the way only a mom who has been there can.
